industry projects
Process equipment design, piping stress analysis, and capital project work in the petrochemical sector, plus technology commercialization at Increscent, Inc.
Super Petrochemical Limited
Mechanical Engineer · Super Petrochemical Limited · Bangladesh · October 2018 to October 2019
A year covering process equipment design, piping stress analysis, capital project support, and workshop operations, where designs had to survive fabrication, installation, and maintenance in the field.
Mooring and pipeline capital programme
Supported development of a $10M mooring and pipeline programme, including proposal review across component drawings, assembly manufacturing instructions, bills of materials, and supporting analysis.
Process equipment and piping design
Designed process equipment and piping layouts in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Plant 3D, and performed piping stress analysis in CAESAR II. Worked with fabrication and installation teams so designs were manufacturable, not just correct on paper.
Oil tanker construction and maintenance
Identified process waste and bottlenecks, improved planning and vendor coordination, and implemented continuous improvement measures. Construction and maintenance costs fell by roughly 10%.
Workshop and maintenance operations
Coordinated a 70-person mechanical workshop and maintenance crew: prioritising work orders, allocating resources, and enforcing safe, high-quality repairs. Applied Lean Six Sigma methods including root cause analysis, DMAIC, SPC, Kaizen, 5-Whys, 5S, and 8D.
Increscent, Inc.
Co-Founder and Technical Lead · Increscent, Inc. · Texas, USA · August 2022 to present
Commercializing the in-situ annealing printing method covered by U.S. Patent 12,496,776 B2.
Commercialization roadmap
Translated a laboratory printing method into a staged R&D and commercialization roadmap with measurable performance milestones and qualification criteria, turning a research result into something a customer can specify and buy.
Grants and proposals
Authored technical proposals and grant applications, including a successful $50,000 NSF I-Corps Team award and two SBIR Phase I proposals on AI-enabled extrusion-based additive manufacturing.
Customer discovery
Ran structured customer discovery and translated voice-of-customer evidence into product requirements, use cases, and qualification criteria. Prepared technical white papers, test reports, pitch decks, and partner materials.
Recognition
- NSF I-Corps Team Award, $50,000
- Maverick Business Pitch Competition, $35,000 across two awards
